Las Vegas Insider: What's Reshaping Our City in 2026

June 2026 · By Angel Flores

There's a lot happening in our city right now. As your local real estate team, we keep a close eye on the developments shaping Las Vegas — because the growth and energy here are a big part of why so many people keep choosing to call the valley home. Here's your quick look at what's new.

⚾ A Major-League Ballpark Is Rising on the Strip

The new Athletics ballpark is taking shape on the former Tropicana site — a roughly $2 billion, 33,000-seat stadium designed by the world-renowned Bjarke Ingels Group, on track to open in 2028. It'll feature the closest seats to home plate of any ballpark in Major League Baseball. After welcoming the Raiders and the Golden Knights, Las Vegas is officially becoming an MLB city too — another milestone in the valley's transformation into a true major-league destination.

🏎️ Formula 1 Roars Back November 19–21

The Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix returns this November, racing right down the Strip past Caesars Palace, the Bellagio, and the Venetian. It has quickly become one of the biggest weekends of the year for the city — packing hotels, restaurants, and the local economy. Whether you're a racing fan or not, the energy (and the visitors) it brings to town is hard to miss.

🏟️ From Tourist Town to Sports & Entertainment Capital

It's remarkable how fast Las Vegas has evolved. In just a few years we've added the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium, the Stanley Cup–winning Golden Knights, the back-to-back champion Aces, and the jaw-dropping Sphere lighting up the skyline — plus hosting the Super Bowl. Las Vegas isn't just where you visit anymore; it's where the big leagues live.

🏡 What This Means If You Live Here (or Want To)

All of this growth is a major reason people keep moving to the valley — new jobs, new entertainment, and a lifestyle that's tough to beat. For homeowners, that sustained demand is good news for property values. For buyers, it's why getting in sooner rather than later often pays off.
